I read this book in less than a day, because I couldn’t put it down. Everyone on the subway and in the diner where I had lunch probably thought I was crazy, because I just kept laughing. I love this collection of stories – some are straightforwardly hilarious re-telling of life events, some are fun comedy pieces. There are some wonderful and profound messages and statements in between the humor. This isn’t just a fluffy book about life in LA. It’s about life and figuring it out, told with wit and insight that’s hard to find.

A hilarious and very entertaining book of essays. The personal stories are wonderful as well. And how can you not love a book that includes Don Draper pitching ‘The Mighty Ducks’? Almie Rose is a fantastic writer, and anyone who enjoys her blog or her ThoughtCatalog articles should definitely check this out.

I felt like I was reading the diary of a 15 year old girl. Too many actors and actresses being tossed around but none of them have names. It gets old fast. Some of the book was amusing but being a memoir junky, this just doesn’t stand up, but I’ll give her props for putting it out there.
