In “The First Light of Evening,” writes experiences and emotions that many people can relate to copyright. The story began three years after Jackie had left Jim. Jim was the entire contents of his live performances quiet and lonely life to read the books he has always wanted to read. Then came Carolyn complicate his life. With the always awkward first day on the road of history ended without a clear resolution. Two would meet again, or would you choose to continue with her lonely life, uncomplicated by new relationships story, short as it was, the exploration of a topic that is very common today and the progressive divergence of a pair moves the dissolution of their marriage, the next day, and the creation of new relationships, people with their lives. The story was very simple, no big action scenes told no O’Henry twist at the end, only a small piece of life account of two ordinary people weighing the merits of entering into a new relationship to safety but continue on their separate ways, lonely. Stories as “the first night light” give me the assurance that the art of the short story is still alive.

This review is from: the first light of the evening (Kindle Single)
This story was spare and elegant, not a word has lost Mark Pothier (Kindle Edition) One of the hardest things a writer can do: speak in the voice of a reluctant one cautious man would rather not talk about it, it would just sit in silence and read the words of others would just as soon not be pondering .. . torture or the loss of love and the impending decline, much less reveal these musings else would be happy to stay to clear a preference for this man has cost him dearly: it is difficult, from the adult daughter home to disconnect, and his wife has left him because, not surprisingly, it has shaped her life around her distance from him, drew a circle around him, in which not even the ones he loves most occur. Pothier lives a man who will not inhabited preferred talking about his voice hesitates, where silence and pauses to say as much as words. He lives a man’s timid inches to the frame folds in his experience, even a glimmer of hope even as he mourns what he lost permits. It gives us the story of a man in his own words, has always preferred not to tell his story. We have more readers, and grateful.
