Aug19, 1971 was Thursday and NOT Wednesday! Please check once again!

  • bsnvr says:

    06th June 1940 was a Thursday…..40+10+05+06 = 61, 61/7 = 5 remainder is Thursday! It is working!

  • bsnvr says:

@Aditya Goel, If the months are January and February and if it is a leap year then you have to consider the previous day. It works for all the days in 20th century and for 21st century, please see my previous comments.

    Aug 19, 1971 was Wednesday not Thursday……correct ur data…..check in ur mobile…calender..

  • Aditya Goel says:

Its working for very few dates. Not at all working for 21st century and not even working for 20th century in many cases. Example: 6 June 1940

  • Pushpender Singh says:

Sir, the remainder can never be greater than the divider. In this case, if you divide 104 by 7, the remainder will be 6.

  • Raymond Mourra says:

November 13, 1971. first two digits of year 71. 2 leap year 17. 3 month code 03. 4 date of birth 13. TOTAL of 104 divided 7=14.8. according to you we only use the remainder
which is 8, so 8 represents what number.please correct my mistake.thanks.Raymond

  • bsnvr says:

@nykw55 – You have to use code of 21st century (see my earlier comments)- code for may is 1. so, 13+3+1+25 = 42 , and 42/7 the remainder is 0. 0 is SATURDAY!

  • nykw55 says:

I wanted to find out what day will it be on 25th May 2013, and its Saturday, but its not working, 2013, So, 13 + 3 + 4 + 25 = 45 / 7 = 3, now 3 remainder means Tuesday, but its SATURDAY on 25th May 2013. Can you please correct my mistake? Thanks

    Sir great video.
I tried this with 2nd Feb 1948 and it didnt work, so im assuming theres a different rule for a leap year? would like to know. Thank you!

  • gunchon says:

what happens when after divided and there isn’t any remainder?

  • zingsho vashum says:

my apologies for copy pasting *Each 400-year period has four century years (years divisible by 100), but only one of those is divisible by 400. The century years not divisible by 400 are identified by the Gregorian calendar as the three years in which the usual leap day is omitted. For example, 1600 and 2000 were leap years, but 1700, 1800 and 1900 were not.
1969 has no leap year* so it would be a different take which the Tutor in this vid needs to explain.

If the months are January and February and if it is a leap year then you have to consider the previous day.
